The Pantry, Roscommon

I really enjoyed my visit here. The staff were friendly. The food was tasty and fresh, especially the crispy chicken salad. The atmosphere was relaxed and it felt like a nice place to unwind over a good meal. I’ll happily come back next time I’m in the area.

Highly recommend The Pantry. When you walk in the first port of call on the bar is to collect your menu, once you've grabbed them, grab your seat. Then when you've decided what you would like you head up to the til and place your order. If you are anything like us you completely missed this and went straight to the til anyway but we were very kindly guided. (there is signage, we are just blinkered people haha). We were met but such a lush fellow banana shake loving crazy gemini and she was totally fab! We raved on about the atmosphere and the kindness we met here for days after, really started my partners birthday getaway off with such sparkle. Literally above and beyond service, even going as far as to make a special effort to wish him happy birthday! The service was quick and easy. The food was good quality and served with such efficiency. There is steps or a ramp to get up to the pantry and there is up and downstairs seating offered. The decor of the pantry is so gorgeous! Pricing is amazing and the variety of savory, sweet and beverages on offer is incredible. Can honestly say I wish we lived closer. If you are in the area I would recommend stopping in. All the best.

Mam & I took a chance this morning (Sunday) on our way home (relations house) from Portuncial & were delighted to find that The Pantry was open. Although our initial plan was to grab a quick coffee & then get back on the road, once we read the menu that plan was gone out the window. The only struggle was to narrow down what we were going to have. There was a great selection of food on offer with most diet restrictions catered for. We eventually settled on pancakes with bacon & maple syrup alone with a pot of tea for herself & a mocha for myself. The service from all the staff was quick, professional and friendly. The decor was quaint with varying types of china plates on the walls along with cute, floral wallpaper. The food was cooked fresh & to order & the smell of the food being cooked seemed to have everyone drooling. Our pancakes came hot with the syrup poured over them and then topped by real crispy, thick bacon and cream(?) on the side. The coffee (produced by Blue Butterfly) was fresh and smooth with no bitterness. Girls on a neighbouring table opted for the Kinder Bueno & Strawberry pancakes & they both looked & smelled fabulous. Another table ordered fry's & they looked really nice. I think that we've found our new spot and will be back soon to try out the lunch menu.

Enjoyed a freshly prepared vegetable soup with 2 'penny' loaves... Menu is comprehensive and look forward to revisiting soon.

Had lunch with my 2.5 year old daughter yesterday and it was fantastic! Coffee and food were delicious and the staff couldn’t have been kinder to my daughter. Ideal spot for all ages and genuinely delicious food!

Very bright premises with nice selection of food. Had breakfast here. Made the mistake of telling them “no mushrooms please”. No problem changing them for something else. Like the fact you get a good sized pot of tea. Got two cups out of it. Mugs really!! Helped brighten up an otherwise miserable day.
